There is an exhibit of acrylic paintings and photographs at the Hornell Arts Center in the Broadway Mall. It starts Thursday, May 15, and continues into June. The public can view the work of Lili Zhao and Shuchun Li, visiting Chinese artists.
This video features some of the photographs of Lili Zhao, an art design teacher at Northeast Normal University in Changchun, China.
Ms. Zhao, as well as her husband Shuchun Li, whose acrylic paintings comprised the rest of this show, have been living in Hornell for almost a year. Through their art, they show Hornell with fresh eyes.
Gallery hours for the exhibit will be from 1-6 p.m. May 16, 17, 22-24 and 29-31 and June 5-7 and 12-14.
Also, a preview of some of the songs from the upcoming musical "Vaudeville Dreaming" will be held from 6-9 p.m. May 29 at the arts center in conjunction with the art exhibit.
